New Media Analysis Project and Submission

Some guidelines for blogging, commentary project.

1. Impact on Australia.
2. Approximately 500 words.
3. Events/issues important of chosen week and why.
4. One Entry Per Week.
5. 5 entries recorded at the time of submission.
6. Each submission should be separated by 5 days.
7. Aim of exercise is to explore the complex nature of new media in 2009.
8. Explore at least TWO of the following dimensions: political, social, economic, technical.
9. Sophisticated entries should incorporate lecture and/or reading material into their commentary.
10. Reputable sources.
11. Avoid focusing too heavily on stories about novel technologies.
12. Policy and social impact stories tend to be the ones
    that work most effectively.
13. Referenced in Harvard style.
14. First two entries due April 3 for feedback and final three are due May 15.
